looking out our kitchen window
Since when does it snow the first week of December in North Carolina?!
from the front window
Not that I'm complaining. I'm a sucker for snow, especially around Christmastime. If it's going to be cold anyways, why not brighten things up with some snow? It snowed hard for a good three hours until everything was covered when evening fell.

Penelope woke from her nap in the middle of the snowfall. She was enraptured by the snow and insisted on staying by the window so she could watch it come down.
A lot of it had melted by the time we made it outside this morning, but Penelope didn't mind. She played and poked and explored until her parents were frozen and forced her to come inside.
The snowball her father gave her to throw at the mother. Good thing the girl can't throw.
"writing" in the snow
Seeing Penelope in the snow in this coat reminded us of the times we took Penelope out to play in the snow about a year ago when we were still living in Heidelberg. Not only was she not walking yet, but that coat practically swallowed her.
Penelope's first snowball last year in Germany. She made this awful face when she discovered that snowballs aren't for licking.
My how times have changed...
Hooray for snow!
Love keeping up w/ yall through your blog! Penelope is a hoot!
