Trick-or-Treat

On Halloween Eve we gathered at Chora's house to put the finishing touches on our costumes.

Then with candy buckets in tow, thanks to "Garden Angel" Ana Lucia...

we headed over to the Burch Avenue Halloween in the Park.

Penelope wiggled with glee at the sight of all her costumed friends and the hotdog dog.

After a quick bite to eat, the kids quickly got down to the business of playing.

Until they are interrupted by Penelope.

Then all the kids gathered for a spooky dance on the stage. Penelope took it upon herself to blast the music nice and loud so the whole neighborhood could hear.

Finally it was time for the trick-or-treating. Penelope carried her pumpking bucket on one arm and held on tight to my hand with the other. By the fourth or fifth house she finally got the hang of the whole trick-or-treating thing, but if there was a dog present she forgot all about the candy and went straight for the canine.
