But that was indeed the scene in our backyard last Saturday night. We celebrated 30 with a Halloween themed birthday party with our friends young and old. The birthday boy was costumed as "Mad Men's" busty secretary Joan, thanks to some clothes swiped from my grandparents' closet awhile back. Penelope was very confused as to what happened to her father that evening.
Penelope and I went for the more traditional cat and butterfly look.
The Cat and the Hat made an appearance as well as Mother Mary, a hippie professor, Superman, a fairy princess, another black cat, a very cute koala, a strawberry and several other adults who were too cool to play dress up.
