Penelope knew she was in for a real treat when she not only got to go visit the Durham's Farmer Market, but she also got to go with her new best buddies--Mama J and Papa J.
Penelope showed them all the things they needed to know to get the freshest, tastiest local produce. She even introduced Mama J and Papa J to her favorite local farmer, Judy from Harland Creek Farm, the local farmer we support through our CSA program.
The next day Penelope jumped at the opportunity to help Mama J wash and trim the green beans for dinner.
Our favorite purchase was the juicy peaches. Here is Penelope on a particularly humid day (hence, the out of control curls) enjoying one.
"Delicious!" she exclaimed.
