The weather was so amazing this weekend that we tried to spend all our waking hours outdoors. We spent this afternoon along the banks of the Eno River.
Penelope couldn't have been happier. Splashing in the water, throwing rocks, digging in the dirt and discovering huge sticks happen to be among her favorite past times.

Then Penelope sat and admired her handiwork.
Nevertheless, the highlight of her day was this little guy.
Penelope and the puppy were instant buddies.
After a very difficult parting (yes, there were tears on both sides), we set off on a hike down the river.
